Superposer

Storage and uninstalling

Uninstalling a game

On the game's page, Uninstall…. Superposer lists everything it will remove for that game: its Windows environment, shader cache, settings and logs. Then Steam removes the game files. Leave Keep saved games and screenshots on to copy the game's local saves to ~/Library/Application Support/Superposer/saves first and keep its save backups (with a "Before uninstalling" version), so you can restore them from the game's page after reinstalling. Export Saves… takes them with you as a zip. Steam Cloud saves are never touched.

The game stays set to run with Superposer, so reinstalling it later just works.

If you uninstall a game in Steam instead, Superposer notices what's left behind the next time it starts, and Changes to Your Mac offers to clean up the leftovers (Clean Up…). That keeps saves, and Steam doesn't need to be closed.
