Games from other stores (beta)

Other Stores in the sidebar lists Windows games from GOG, Epic and itch.io, and games you add yourself. They run like your Steam games: their own Windows environment, the same settings, overlay, HUD and Test. Press Play in Superposer; Steam isn't involved.

  • Where they come from: Superposer reads what the stores' own apps keep on your Mac: Heroic Games Launcher (GOG and Epic), GOG Galaxy, Legendary and the itch app. It never asks for, reads or stores a store password; signing in and downloading stay in the store's app.
  • Add a Windows Game… (the + in the Library, or on the Other Stores page): pick a game's .exe, or an installer (GOG's offline installer, a setup.exe or an .msi). An installer runs inside the game's own Windows environment; when it closes, pick the program that starts the game.
  • Add a Folder… finds GOG games installed with their offline installers.
  • Epic games that check your account when they start get their sign-in through Heroic, so sign in to Epic in Heroic first.
  • Remove from Library… takes a game out of Superposer. Its files stay; you choose whether its Windows environment (and any saves inside it) goes too.
